Beauty | My favourite cleansing masks
I live in Brussels and as any city girl I need to cleanse my skin quite regularly to get rid of all the lovely dirt from the pollution, the public transportation, sweat and what not. I usually deep cleanse my skin once a week and lately I have been alternating between these two products.
Aesop – Parsley See Cleansing mask (33 euros): This mask is perfect for getting rid of all the impurities clogging your pores. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and then I suggest you remove it with cloth that you will have previously damped in warm to hot water. After doing this your skin will feel smooth and clean.
Origins – Clear Improvement active charcoal mask (28 euros): This mask is perfect to make sure your pores are not clogged with impurities. According to the description the charcoal will clean your pores and the lecithin will dissolve impurities. Whether it is that time of the month or you are stressed or haven’t been eating well or you simply want to deep cleanse your skin then I strongly urge you to try this mask. Use a warm cloth to open your pores and then apply the mask and wait until it is completely dry to remove it.
Tip: These cleansing masks can prove to be quite harsh on your skin and you might feel like your skin is pulling and dry. Don’t forget to apply a nice serum and face cream to prevent this from happening. Or if you have time use a hydrating mask to counter act the dryness.
