Beauty | Summer Beauty Essentials
Long time no see!
Excuse me for the absence of posts this past month but I am still getting adjusted to having a blog. I hope you had a lovely summer break or at least a lovely summer.
My beauty routine in the summer is quite different from what it is in the winter for two main reasons. Firstly, I use close to no makeup, more on that in an upcoming post. Secondly, my skin gets a little greasier and I wear SPF all day.
Bioderma- Sébium H20: This product never leaves my beauty routine; it is the perfect makeup remover, more so in the summer with my “no makeup” days. I find this to be the perfect step to prevent my skin from breaking out because of the sweat, SPF, sand…
Bioderma- Hydrabio Tonique: Again, this toner never leaves my beauty routine. I used to go straight from Bioderma Sébium to putting cream on my face. I had little pimples like sand mostly on my forehead. An esthetician explained that this was probably due to the fact that my skin needed a toner to even out my Ph. I must say she was right. This product can be hard to find, in Brussels for example it is impossible to find.
La Roche Posay- Hydraphase Intense Légère: Here is where it all changes. My skin being greasier I hydrate it with a water-based cream, which is the best to apply. Its texture makes it really easy to blend and your skin feels refreshed. It is perfect after a long day at the beach.
La Roche Posay- Hydraphase Intense Yeux: From the same line as the previous product this eye cream is water-based and comes in a gel formula. It is really fresh and is perfect to reduce small lines under your eyes.
Bioderma- Hydrabio Brume: This is soothing refreshing water that you spray on your face and body if you want. It feels amazing on a very hot day.
Dexeryl- This cream was recommended to me by my best friend, who happens to be a dermatologist (I lucked out ;). She said this is a regular cream to protect your skin but that it was great if used as after sun.
All these products are available at pharmacies in France and Belgium as far as I know. You can also find most of these products on the e-shop Escentual , but I don’t know how good it is as I have never used it before.
What are your favourite beauty products for the summer?
